You can watch and listen to us, mainly in live performance, via this page. The recordings have been compressed, with some inevitable loss of quality, in order to reduce delays to acceptable levels. They are presented in reverse date order. Be aware that you need a broadband connection to avoid excessive delays, although if you have an anytime dial-up connection it is just a matter of being (very) patient. If you have a pay-as-you-go connection you may not be happy about the cost of the download - so watch the clock. You should be able to adjust video image dimensions to suit your viewing environment using your video player's built-in control. Regional Brass Band Championships, Sunday 16th March 2008 We were awarded third place out of fourteen in this competition - and on cumulative results (previous two years taken into account) we were also now graded ("seeded") in second place out of the 14 bands in the Section, which meant we gained promotion to First Section. You can hear a recording of our actual on-stage contest performance ('Three Part Invention" by Kenneth Downie), at which we came third out of fourteen by clicking the button below. This audio track is a digital translation of the original recording made during the contest by: Our own performance apart, Doyen's recording is technically of high audio quality and is well worth playing on the best audio equipment available to you.
